People take sea turtles out of the water that got into the oil and give them a second chance for survival. Some people try to protect the sea turtles from the oil spill by moving their nests away from the beaches that have oil wash up on shore.

Sea turtles die by fishermen when they catch sea turtles the turtles die. When you know you're near sea turtles and you're on a boat don't move because when the turtles go to the surface they die by the propeller.

Less than half of baby sea turtles make it to the ocean in time they are prey to many animals. Hogs that are on the beach ( find more at hogsgonewildbehindtheseens.blogspot.com) often eat the sea turtles and sense they came out of no where they mess up the food chain so now not even a third of the sea turtles can make it to the ocean on that beach. When the sea turtles do make it into the ocean they still are not safe they mistake plastic bags with jelly fish and eat the trash in the ocean. Sea turtles also mistake the oil in the ocean with sea weed and the oil is toxic and it kills the sea turtles
